Carol Jean Arneson

Carol Jean Arneson, 77, Appleton, passed away on October 8, 2014. Carol was born on August 1, 1937 to George and Sadie (Krull) Holz. On June 8, 1957 she married Vernon Arneson and they enjoyed 28 years of marriage. Vernon preceded her in death on December 15, 1985. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Appleton. Carol was employed for 44 years with Voith Fabrics. She enjoyed reading and working in her yard and garden. She also enjoyed volunteering with “Hooks and Needles” and visiting local nursing homes.

She will be sadly missed by her son Richard (Sheila Pawlowski) Arneson of Greenville, grandsons: Joshua and Jacob, brothers: Carl (Sally) Holz, Shiocton; Gary (Charr) Holz, Black Creek; LeRoy (Mary) Holz, Greenville, her sister Arlene Riehl, Hortonville, aunt Irene Holz as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Vernon and brother-in-law Gerald Riehl.

Family and friends may gather at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street in Appleton on Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and at St. John United Church of Christ, 1130 W. Marquette Street in Appleton on Monday, October 13, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Funeral Services will be held at the church on Monday at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Tom Fritz officiating.
