Carol Jane Bauer, age 84, died Wednesday evening, January 16, 2008, following a brief illness, with her children at her side. She was born October 10, 1923, the only child to the late Edward and Hildagard (Lang) LaFond, in Appleton and had been an Appleton and Neenah resident all of her life. Carol had been employed by Sam Belinke Jewelers until she had children and then became a stay at home mom. Mother Biscuit enjoyed her family vacations at Lac Vieux Desert and her afternoon soap operas. Carol was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Holewinski, and her special friend, Dick Farr, Menasha; her son, Gary Bauer and his fiancee, Cindy Seymour, Menasha; three grandchildren, Kevin (Tammy) Londerville, Michael (Shelly) Bauer, Katie Bauer; two great grandchildren, Bryce and Brayden Londerville; and her special aunt, Jeanette Given, Appleton. She was preceded in death by her husband William Bauer and a son-in-law, Al Holewinski. The funeral liturgy for Carol will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 19, 2008, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 312 South State Street, with Father Michael K. O'Rourke officiating. Entombment will be in Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum, Neenah. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 am, until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
