Gee, Carol A.
Appleton-
Carol Gee, died peacefully on February 28, 2007 surrounded by her family.
Born April 11, 1936 in Appleton, WI, she lived briefly in Milwaukee, but most of her life in Appleton. She married her husband Ralph on September 12, 1959. She devoted her life to Ralph, and to raising her children. Her legacy is the wealth of compassion and love that spreads forth through her children and grandchildren. Carol was a model, for all who knew her, of honesty, humility, and kindness. She taught us the worth of being genuine.
An avid reader, Carol passed on her love of books to her children. She golfed badly, but enjoyed it well. She bowled with the worst of us, but showed us the point was to have fun. (Except with cribbage- that was win or lose!) She was “cool” to all her children’s friends, without trying- she was just plain good, and it was comforting and magnetic. She had the kind of heart people aspire to have.
Carol was greeted in Heaven by her daughter Nancy, her parents Marie and George, her brother Carl, her sister Joan, many other friends and relatives.
Now she can finally really “rest her eyes…”
Surviving are her loving husband Ralph Gee, daughter Kathleen Gee (Steve Bennett), son David Gee (Lori, and grandsons Alexander and Zachary), and her son-in-law Stephen Nordgaard. Further survived by Edward (Mary) and William (Nira) Busch.
Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Monday March 5, 2007, at St Thomas More Catholic Church, Appleton. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5p.m. at the funeral home and also on Monday at the church from 9:30 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to a fund in Carol’s name for the Appleton Public Library.
