Carol Alice Wuethrich

Carol A. Wuethrich, 85, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at ManorCare Nursing Home, Appleton. She was born on November 20, 1932, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Floyd and Leona (Pokrandt) Rand. Carol graduated from Oshkosh Senior High School, the Class of 1950, and from 1951-1952, she attended Wartburg College. She was united in marriage to Kermit A. Wuethrich on August 1, 1953, and they shared 60 years together before his death on January 22, 2014. Carol, a former homecoming queen, enjoyed sewing, playing bridge, family get togethers/entertaining, and the holidays; especially Christmas. Her faith was very important to her, and she devoted a lot of her time to her church, Faith Lutheran of Appleton, with the TLC group and bible study. Carol will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren and great grandchildren for her $5 Love Hug!

Carol is survived by her 2 children: Terry Wuethrich and Wendy (Dan) Kierstead; 7 grandchildren: Chris, Beth, Heather, Sean, Kelsea, Korbin, and Quinnlan; 3 great grandchildren: Rylan, Camden, and Aynslie; a brother: Howard (Lillian) Rand; and many other relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and a son: Mark Wuethrich.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, July 6, 2018, at Faith Lutheran Church, 601 Glendale Ave., Appleton, with Rev. Jim Wiebel officiating. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. Visitation will be Friday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated in Carol’s loving memory.
