Cal Hanagan, 61, a vibrant and unforgettable spirit, passed away on February 18, 2025. He was born on April 18, 1963 to Clifford and Lois (Smith) Hanagan in Kaukana, WI.
After graduating from Kaukauna High School, Cal went on to serve in the United States Army from 1980 to 1984. He spent 12 years as an admired car salesman for Russ Darrow Automotive Group and more recently worked for Lomira Auto. Cal he was known for his warm hugs, infectious laughter, and great sense of humor. His charisma and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Cal was a natural leader and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Cal had a passion for fishing and enjoyed splitting wood, activities that served as bonding moments with his family. He loved playing football with his children and riding his motorcycle, cherishing every moment spent with them. He was incredibly proud of his family and instilled in them the values of kindness and generosity, leaving behind a legacy of “Pay it Forward.”
Cal is survived by his wife Tina Hanagan; children Laina (Scott) Lammers, Adam (Tierney) Laramore, Madelyn Hanagan, Caleb Hanagan, Miles Christenson, Marley Christenson, Emma Hanagan and Mase Hanagan; nine grandchildren; sister Carrie (Rick) Koeller, brothers Lee (Roni) Hanagan, Jay (Trina) Hanagan; brothers-in-law Dallas (Meredith) Laramore and Jim Stolla and sisters-in-law Jamie (Jacob) Wilhelme and Monica (Jim) Hanagan; in-laws Dallas (Amy) Laramore and Dianna Laramore; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Cal is preceded in death by Clifford Hanagan, Lois Hanagan, Guy Hanagan, Debbie Stolla and Kelsey Hanagan.
A visitation for Cal will take place on February 28, 2025 at Wichmann Funeral Home Laemmrich Chapel, located at 312 Milwaukee St. in Menasha, WI from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 4:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Cal's memory.
Cal's family would like to thank the entire staff of Cherry Meadows and ThedaCare at Home Hospice, especially nurse Lexi Anderson for her compassionate care.
