Brian Sebastian Griesbach
formerly of Appleton

Brian passed away peacefully at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida, on February 3, 2005 as a result of a construction accident.

He was born in Appleton, WI on February 8, 1969, the son of Glen and Rose Marie “Patty” (Sturm). He was raised in Appleton and graduated from Appleton East High School in 1987. Brian was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with a Bachelor's Degree in journalism.

Brian worked for the St Croix Times, Virgin Islands for 2 years and then for the Fountain Hills Times, Arizona for 5 years as a writer/journalist. He then returned to Wisconsin to work for his brother's construction business. Most recently, Brian was residing in Port Charlotte, FL, working as part of the hurricane repair efforts.

He loved writing, reading, fishing, golfing and the ocean.

Brian is survived by his parents, Glen and Rose Marie; three brothers: Greg (Cindy), Tim (Tani) and Randy (Linda), all of Appleton; two sisters, Joan (Pat) Forbes, Queen Valley, AZ; Deb (Jack) Christianson, Appleton; and 11 nieces and nephews: Misty, Jamie, Adam, Sam, Stacie, Emily, Melanie, Josh, Melanie, Amanda and Randall.

The funeral mass will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 East Lourdes Drive, Appleton, with Father John Gallagher officiating. The visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, February 10 from 3 p.m. until the time of service. The interment will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton.
