Age 43, died Monday morning, November 25, 2002, due to A. L. S. (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). He was born November 28, 1958, to Melvin H. and Mavis D. (Sann) Wurm, in Appleton, where he was a resident most of his life. Brian graduated from Appleton East High School and had been employed by Appleton Papers. Brian enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, planting trees and landscaping and was a member of Zion U. C. C. of Dale. Survivors include his wife, Kristine K. (Vanden Heuvel) Wurm, whom he married September 8, 1990; four children, Jennifer R. Wurm, Appleton; Michael B. Wurm, Appleton; Lynnea M. Wurm; Gavin F. Wurm, both at home; his parents, Melvin H. and Mavis D. Wurm, Tomahawk; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David A. and Sheila Wurm, Appleton; Jeffrey M. and Sandra Wurm, Appleton; a sister and brother-in-law, Pamela S. and Steve Boettcher, Appleton. Funeral services for Brian will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, November 29, 2002, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, with Reverend Virgie J. Davis officiating. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 10:00 am until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established for A. L. S. Research.
