Bonnie Lynn Tortelli, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024, at the age of 86.
Born in Iron Mountain, MI on July 19, 1938, to Clayton and Audrey Larson, Bonnie will be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart, unconditional love and support. She dedicated her life to her family, working for H&R Block for many years and was committed to the pursuit of higher education, paying it forward not only for herself, but also for her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, square dancing, cake decorating and shared her husband’s love of cars through their activities with the Nickel A Model A Club. She loved the winter outdoors, spending time in her youth as a competitive ice skater and enjoyed snow skiing with her family on trips to Northern Wisconsin, Michigan UP and Salt Lake City, Utah. Most of all, she cherished time with her grandchildren who knew her well and loved her deeply.
Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Gary A. Tortelli; children, Sheryl (Steve) Kobs, Robert (Michelle) Tortelli, Michele (Joe) Tortelli, Terese (Brad) Liebhauser, grandchildren, Garrett (Hilary) Tortelli, Brett Tortelli, James Tortelli, Ashtyn Hale, Mitchell Liebhauser, Dalton Liebhauser, Ryan Kobs; and great grandchildren, Monroe and Cullen Tortelli; as well as her numerous nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Audrey Lucille Larson (Alquist), Frank “Clayton” Larson, and her five siblings, Evan Larson, Joan Prillwitz, Laurel Carr, Frank Larson and Kathy Johnson.
A celebration of life for Bonnie will be held on Saturday, September 21st at 11am - 2pm.
