Bonnie Lou Blount, 75, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024 following a battle with heart failure. Bonnie was born on January 5, 1949 in Appleton, daughter of the late Arthur and Martha (Van Deraa) Hendricks. Bonnie devoted her time to maintaining her household, researching her health concerns, being a mother to her son, daughter-in-law and grandmother to her grandchildren, cooking and taking care of the neighborhood cats.
Bonnie married Michael Reeves in the late 1960s and is believed to have toured with his band in Europe (Germany, Holland and England) through the 1970s until their marriage ended. Bonnie returned to the United States and married Gene Blount living in Tupelo, Mississippi. Bonnie and Gene ended their marriage in the late 1980s due to irreconcilable differences.
Bonnie was an AS-400 IT Computer Programmer who worked for various companies in the Fox Valley in the 90’s and early 2000’s until she retired.
Bonnie is survived by her son, Levi (Kendra) Blount; her grandchildren, Annabella Blount and Valerie Blount; her sisters, Betty Heider, Shirley (Donald) Stuckart, and Rosie Forsythe; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and dear friends.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Martha Hendricks; her brother, Joseph Hendricks; and her brothers-in-law, Floyd Heider and Kenn Forsythe.
A memorial gathering will be held for Bonnie from 10-11 AM on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St, Appleton, WI 54911 with time for sharing throughout and shortly after.
