Beverly Jean Zamzow

Beverly J. (Zick) Zamzow, age 94 of Appleton, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Palm Sunday, April 10, 2022. She was born on January 28, 1928 in Waupun, WI to the late Ira and Lorene (Calkins) Zick. Beverly was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith at Emanuel Lutheran Church.

On Pentecost Sunday, 1958, Beverly was joined in marriage with the late Frank W. Zamzow at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton, where they became lifelong members serving their Lord in many capacities. Beverly was an active member of the Ladies Aid, and enjoyed preparing communion and using her talents to beautify the church altar with the Altar Guild for many years.  She also enjoyed serving the Appleton community in various volunteer activities.  Throughout her life, Beverly enjoyed time with family and friends, vacationing, traveling and caring for her home.

Beverly is survived by her two children; her son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Carol Zamzow, Freedom; and her daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Michael Pruett, Mankato, MN; her two grandchildren, Megan (Shawn) Schaffer and Kady Zamzow, and her new great-grandchild, Ella Grace Schaffer; and two step-grandchildren, Jacob Pruett and Jenny (Jake) Braaten. She is further survived by her sister, Shirley Boettcher, Appleton and her children, Lori (Dan) Oberstadt and Steve (Jane) Boettcher. In addition to her husband and parents, she was proceeded in death by her step-mother, Helen (Dehring) Zick and her brother-in-law, John Boettcher.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 19th at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 302 N. Morrison St, Appleton with Rev. Matthew Holtz officiating. Visitation will be held at the church at 10:00am until the time of services.  In lieu of flowers, memorials will be established in Beverly’s name to benefit St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church and Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
