Beverly Jean Smith, born October 9th or 10th 1925, died December 26, 2022, at age 97. Those who knew her loved her and enjoyed her gentle kindness and sweet disposition. She loved being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother and excelled in those roles. To say that her grandchildren and great grandchildren adored her would be an understatement. Beverly was a wonderful homemaker and cook. Her recipes are legendary in our families! People loved to be around her because she was a peacemaker and did not hold grudges.
Beverly attended church for much of her life beginning with a Baptist church as a child. She spent more than 50 years with the Methodist Church, and came full circle, attending Fox River Baptist Church for the last 3 years of her life. We know that if she placed her faith and trust in Christ’s work on the cross, those who have done likewise will one day see her again.
Beverly is survived by five children: Don Smith of Pine River, Steve (Kathleen Hall) Smith of Vermont, Kent (Jennifer) Smith of Whitehall, Montana, Scott (Carol) Smith of Appleton, and Jill (Michael) Henrikson of Gainesville, Georgia.
Her loving grandchildren include Jennifer Beth Kramer (Dan Noel), Scott Russell Smith, Christopher Bradford Bryson, Grant Roby Smith, Nicole Ann Henrikson, Casie Lynn Henrikson, Morgan Amanda (Ryan) Powers, Jeffrey Allen Smith, Ryan David Smith, Christopher Andrew (Sara) Smith, Amanda Lynn (Dominic) Decoux, Catherine Elizabeth Smith, Stephanie Jill (Joshua) Van Straten, Laura Jean (Aaron) Bressler.
She will also be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren who loved her so very much: Berit, Lily, Thomas, Josiah, Levi, Simon, Jane, Jack, Cecelia, Millie, Elliot, Eliza, Gilbert, and Ruthanne. A sister, Bonita Fay Anton also survives as well as her son Victor (Kirsten Jones) Anton and their son Michael (Allison) Anton, and also a sister-in-law Marilyn Ross
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of fifty-six years Shelby.
