Beverly Ann Lehrer

Beverly (Bev) Lehrer, age 85, of Kaukauna, WI passed away Friday, November 15, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI.

Bev was born on July 27, 1939, in Chilton, WI, to Arnold and Erna (Behnke) Heimann. She grew up in Chilton, WI and attended Chilton High School (class of 1958).

After graduation Bev worked at A&W and the Shoe factory in Chilton, WI. Bev married the love of her life, James Lehrer, on Monday, September 6th, 1965, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chilton, WI.

After marrying Jim, Bev went on to being the accountant for Lehrer Trucking, Kaukauna Recycling, and B-Ann Farms. Bev loved volunteering with the 4-H Buchanan Badgers in her spare time. She was their 4-H leader for several years. In high school, she was also involved with FFA (Future Farmers of America). Bev also had a passion for photography and would even show them in 4-H at times.

In the 1970’s, Jim and Bev purchased the farm from Ray Loderbauer, which went on to become B-Ann Farms. Bev worked hard with Jim maintaining the farm, but the true love of her life was her family. She cherished every moment with them. She loved to make people laugh and play practical jokes with them.

Jim and Bev were married for 51 years. They had 5 children together: Sue (Gary) Greely in Appleton, WI, Joe (Betty) Lehrer in Kaukauna, WI, Andy (Julie) Lehrer in Appleton, WI, Lyn (Jim) Lehrer-Reitz in Seattle, WA, and Tammy Lehrer in Kaukauna, WI.

Bev had many grandchildren: Nick (Rachel) Greely, Carissa (Chad) Verhasselt, Miranda (Alex) Fischer, Sarah Casper, Tamara Casper, Shaile Gehrke, Madison Lehrer, and Dawson Lehrer.

Bev also had several great grandchildren as well: Addyson Greely, Koy Verhasselt, Anola Verhasselt, Karsyn Fischer, Gordon Fischer, and a baby Verhasselt due in December 2024.

Bev is survived by her sister and brother-in-law: Bonnie (Al) Schneider; sister-in-law: Millie Heimann; and a special friend of the family, Shirley Bankenbush.

Bev was preceded in death by her husband-James Lehrer (Dec 2016), her parents-Arnold and Erna (Behnke) Heimann, Jim’s parents-Maurice and Dalia (Berndt) Lehrer, her sister and brother-in-law-Joanne and Daniel Thiel, her brother-Arnie (Jr) Heimann, and her nephew-Keith Heimann who unfortunately passed the same day as Bev. Also, a special family member-Billy Bankenbush.

Funeral liturgy for Bev will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, St. Mary Church, 119 W. Seventh St., Kaukauna. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna, and again at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the Neenah Animal Shelter.

We would like to say a special thank you to her cousins, Barbara Burich & Betty Blatz, and her godchild, Troy Schneider, for always being there for our mother.

Mom, we will miss you dearly, but we have some comfort in knowing you are now pain free and at home with God and many family members. Until we meet again, Love you always.
