Beverly Jean "Bev" Van Rooy

Age 82, of Appleton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March, 20th, 2021. She was born on June 27th, 1938 in Appleton, WI, the daughter of Gordon and Luella (Prellwitz) Krueger. On June 7th, 1958, she married Thomas Van Rooy in Appleton Wisconsin. The marriage was blessed with 38 years and 3 children, before Tom’s passing in May 1997. As a woman of deep faith, she was a member of Fox River Baptist Church. Those who knew her will always remember her love, generosity of time, stubbornness, and prayer. Her grandsons were the absolute joy of her life, spending time taking them fishing, attending band concerts, attending baseball games, and hosting countless sleepovers.

She will be missed by her sons, Joe (Sue) Van Rooy, Appleton; Tim (Carol) Van Rooy, Shoreview, MN; daughter, Amy (Kevin) Prideaux, Harrison; grandchildren Alex (Brenna) Van Rooy, Andrew Prideaux, Ryan Van Rooy and Noah Prideaux, brother-in-law, Byron St. Louis, sister-in-law, Kathleen Krueger, cousins, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bev was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Van Rooy, her parents, siblings Sharon St. Louis and Charles Krueger, and In-laws Elaine and Lester Weyenberg and Peggy and Whitey Evers.

Memorial services for Bev will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 26th at Fox River Baptist Church, 2700 E. Henry St., Appleton, WI with Pastor Tim Godfrey officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM to the time of services. For those who are attending please wear a mask and practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Fox River Baptist Church in Bev’s name are appreciated.
