Betty R. King

July 22, 1927 — September 3, 2002

Age 75, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2002 at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. Betty was born in Oshkosh on July 22, 1927, daughter of the late Kenneth and Marie (Ruedinger) Fredricksen. On July 13, 1946, she married Tom King in Oshkosh; he survives. Betty worked for over 10 years as a cook at the Kaukauna High School and will also be remembered by many as cooking at many local restaurants and supper clubs. She enjoyed crocheting, needlework, and painting.

Survivors include her husband: Thomas C. King of Kaukauna; three children: Jerry King; Bill (Vickee) King; Jenny Ver Voort, all of Kaukauna; four grandchildren” Shellee (Chris) Ziegler, Becky King, Kevin Ver Voort and his special friends Amy Johnson, and Kris (Stephanie) Ver Voort; and six great-grandchildren: Lydia Ver Voort, Morgan McDaniel, Thomas Ver Voort, Kari Ann Ver Voort, Payton Ziegler, and Haley Ziegler. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law Tom Ver Voort, and by Tom’s mother Mary King.

The funeral service for Betty will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 6, 2002 at the funeral home chapel with Fr. Robert Udulutsch, OFM Cap. officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Friday from 11 AM until the hour of the service.
