Mrs. Philip Houk, Menasha, age 89, died on Sunday, February 1, 2015. She was born on December 23, 1925 in Cumberland, MD to Samuel and Odessa Fay (Shank) Wilson. Betty married Philip Houk on May 24, 1947. She served in the Armed Forces (Hospital) in WWII.
Betty is survived by her husband Philip, 5 sons: David (Nancy), Derrick, Daniel (Julie), Ivan, Stan (Dorrie); 4 daughters: Rebecca (Charles) Gleasner, Bobbie “Dr. B.J.”, Bonnie Much and Victoria (James) Svitavsky; 22 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren and 2 brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, son-in-law Richard Much and grandson Randall Much.
It was Betty's wish to have no formal funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Heckrodt Wetland Reserve. Online condolences can be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
