Age 81, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2004 at Colony Oaks Care Center. She was born on May 19, 1923 in Appleton the daughter of the late Percy and Eleanor (Fhal) Huebner. On January 31, 1951 she married Sheldon Rohloff in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2004. She and her husband loved to go fishing and watch the Packers. Betty was an avid reader, wrote mysteries, and was published once.
Betty is survived by her daughter Robin (Gary) Wittmer, her grandchildren: Andy, Peter, Charlie, Matthew, and Michael all of Plymouth, Minnesota; a brother Wayne (Marion) Huebner of Appleton; her nieces and nephew Debbie (Jose) Estrada, and Mike (Wendy) Huebner all of Appleton, Susan (Gary) King of New Port Ritchie, Florida, and Pat (Mario) Delgaeo of Appleton, many grand nieces and grand nephews; a sister-in-law Shirley (William) Leach of Grants Pass, Oregon; a brother-in-law Wayne (Anna Marie) Rohloff of Newnan, Georgia, and a sister-in-law “Skip” Rohloff. She was preceded in death besides her husband Sheldon, by a brother-in-law Donald Rohloff.
A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, August 27, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Wichmann Funeral Home with the Rev. Joel Zank officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
