Betty Ann Bauter, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Peabody Manor after her 14-year courageous battle with cancer.
Betty was born July 4, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Casper and Virginia Fink.
Betty lived nearly her entire life in the Milwaukee and its suburbs, only settling in Appleton to be near her daughter in 2020.
Betty was a loving mother to Kathleen Dreyer (Steve Demcak) and Robert (Catherine) Kunz. Grandmother to Michael (Jennifer) Dreyer, Robert (Emily) Dreyer, Christopher (Kelly) Kunz and Kevin Kunz. Great Grandmother to Theodore, Elijah, Thomas and baby girl on the way. Sister to William (Maija) Fink and Susan (Michele Dziaba) Fink. She is further survived by her niece, Liisa (Fink) Weinberg and other relatives.
Betty was preceded in death by her fiancée, Donald Fleury; her parents, Casper and Virginia Fink; and other relatives.
She will be remembered for her love of family and travel especially to the clear blue waters of the Caribbean where she loved to snorkel. Betty also enjoyed gardening and cooking.
A memorial visitation will be held for Betty on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 10:00-11:30 am at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St, Appleton, WI 54911 with a time of family sharing memories at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers or memorials, performing random acts of kindness would be appreciated.
