Betty A. Jensen, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Betty was born in Manawa, the daughter the late Arthur and Edna Beyer on September 1, 1937. She married Julian Jensen on September 20, 1958 in Manawa.
Betty worked Kroger’s Grocery and Kohls in the deli and meat department for over 25 years. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Betty was an excellent cook, and liked canning and baking, she also loved to read her paperback Daniel Steele books and enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was a dedicated fisherwoman and travelled to Canada on fishing trips for 17 years with Julian where she caught and mounted her biggest Northern Pike. Betty was a life-long member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Menasha.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Brenda) and David (Mary Jo); grandchildren, Adam (fiance Paula Owen) Jensen and their child, AJ, Heather (special friend Zack Fischer) Van Straten, Andrew (special friend Drew Mueller) Jensen, Travis (Stephanie) Suprise and their son, Micah; siblings, Lucille Noffke, Roger (Muriel) Beyer, Earl Beyer and Leroy (Jane) Beyer; sister-in-law, Ardyce (Kenneth) Johnson and Cheryl Beyer; special neighbor, Rose. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Jensen; brother, Bob Beyer; brother-in-law, Leonard Noffke; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Beyer.
The funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, October 1, 2018 at GREENLAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 1451 Green Valley Road, Neenah. Visitation will be held from 9:30 until the time of service.
The family wishes to thank Home Instead Care Services, especially Stephanie, Brewster Village and ThedaCare Hospice for the wonderful care given to Betty.
