Bertha Wachtendonk, age 77 years, passed away at her home on July 5, 2006. She was born in Kimberly on July 29, 1928 the daughter of the late Anton and Johanna (De Wildt) Vander Wielen. Bertha enjoyed 47 beautiful years of marriage with her late husband Arthur Wachtendonk prior to his death on June 6, 1998.

Bert is survived by her children: Mary (Chuck) Berben, Joe (Verna) Wachtendonk, Dennis (Brenda) Wachtendonk, Ann (Tim) Weyenberg and Steve (Sharon) Wachtendonk; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brothers: Charlie Vander Wielen and Tom Vander Wielen; sisters: Ceil Sweere, Aggie Vanden Oever, Bernadine (Jerry) Mignon and Pat Gavaert. She is further survived by her husband’s family, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral liturgy for Bertha will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at HOLY SPIRIT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly with Father Jerry Pastors officiating. Interment will take place at Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly. Friends may call at the Church on Saturday from 8:00 am until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
