Bernice V. (Ristow) Muraski

Age 85, died on Tuesday, March 16, 2004. Bernice was born on October 26, 1918 in Appleton, WI, daughter of the late Gustav and Henrietta (Kleuskens) Ristow. Bernice married Leo Muraski on September 21, 1940, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Appleton. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2003. Bernice volunteered over 2000 hours as a member of the St. Elizabeth Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, socializing and shopping. Bernice loved her family and enjoyed family get-togethers. She will be greatly missed by her son, Richard (Marilyn) Muraski; 2 daughters, Sandra (Gerald) Stingle; Mary (Mike) Larson; 9 grandchildren, Mary Sue (Russ) Kutz; Beth (Jon) Luetschwager; Gregg (Dawn) Stingle; Matt Larson and special friend, Michelle; Melanie Larson and fiancé, Nick O’Leary; Mark Larson; John Muraski and special friend, Laura; Andy and AnneLissa Muraski; special “granddaughter,” Lara; 7 great-grandchildren, Scott and Emily Kutz; Rachael, Megan and Michael Luetschwager; Carson and Cade Stingle; 4 sisters, Mary Jane Stumpf; Elayne Schabow; Grace Wege; Carole Ristow; and her brother, Gordon. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Bernice was preceded in death by her brother, Arvin; sister-in-law, Janet Ristow; 3 brothers-in-law, Joe Stumpf; Lloyd Schabow; and Richard Wege. The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 5:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 18, 2004, at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 North McDonald Street, Appleton, with Rev. Gerald Falk officiating. The entombment will be held at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Family and friends will be received at the church on Thursday, March 18, from 2 until 4:45 p.m. A special thank you to Dr’s. Kroner, Larson, Dernlan, Cory Zeller, Kit Vongsa, T. Beld and all the staff at AMC, Angelus Retirement Community and ThedaCare at Home Hospice, especially Kathy Horn and Diane Hiller, for their loving care of Bernice.
