Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 after a brief illness. She was given up into the hands of Jesus while her family was lead in prayer by Chaplain Mark at Appleton Medical Center.

Bernice was born on November 14, 1919 in Evanston, IL. She married William Doty in 1938. They lived in Elderon, WI for 18 years before moving to Forest Lake, IL. They retired in Willow Lake, North – West of Tomahawk thirty years ago.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Darlene and James Diedrick, Darboy; son and daughter-in-law: William Jr. and Hazel Doty, Reedsburg; Daughter: Dee Goben, Palatine, IL; and her special Kitty Kat. Grandchildren: Jill Bartelt, Jody Oechsle, Bill Doty III, Joe Doty, James Diedrick, JoLynn Diedrick, and nine great grandchildren. Grandma will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, Walter and Ida (Heppner) Vogt, she was preceded in death by William Doty, her husband of 63 years.

A memorial service for Bernice will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Wichmann Funeral Home Tri County Chapel (3212 S. Oneida Street) with Rev. Dr. Tom Fritz officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernice's name can be made to Theda Care At Home Hospice.
