Age 91, died Sunday, February 5, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton.
Bea was born March 31, 1914, in Marinette, Wis., the daughter of the late Matthew and Zelda (Thisdale) Fournier. She married Harry Carlin on June 13, 1936, in Marinette. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1994. Bea and Harry were managers of a trailer park in California, lived in Chicago for several years, and then were the managers of a motel in Burlington, Wis., prior to their retirement. The Carlins then moved to Appleton to be closer to their family and their hometown.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Jane Neja, of Alabama; three nieces, Yvonne (Robert) Schultz, of Black Creek, Carla (Ron) Casperson, of Appleton, and Nancy (Russell) Draeger, of Racine; two brothers-in-law, Merrill Kirkpatrick, of California, and Tom Gleason, of Illinois; and her special friend, Vi Schmelzer; She was preceded in death by her sisters, Rosanna Kirkpatrick, Cecile Schultz, and Gloria Gleason, and her brothers, Dewey, Pete, and Matthew Fournier.
Funeral services for Bea will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2006, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, with Father Norman Krutzik officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Marinette. Friends may call from 2:30 p.m. Wednesday until the time of services directly at the funeral home.
