Bea Heesakker, age 84, died Tuesday, January 18, 2005, at her home. Bea was born on September 16, 1920, in Neenah, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Ivan and Gladys (Sensenbrenner) Stilp. Bea married Lawrence Heesakker on October 1, 1949, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menasha. He survives. Bea died as she lived, quietly and peacefully. Bea was a happy, serene person dedicated to her husband and family. Her trademark beautiful smile lit up the atmosphere, and was inherited by all who knew her. Her husband, children, and grandchildren knew how much they were loved. They were awed by her sweet, gentle nature. Bea was an avid reader and an always ready, eager, and happy traveler. She loved music and the arts. Attendance at the Weidner Center in Green Bay and the Performing Arts Center in Appleton were cherished events.
In addition to her husband, Bea is survived by a daughter, Anne Weiland, of Kimberly, and a son Steve Heesakker, of Shawano, (special friend, Ann Nack), and five grandchildren, Brian Weiland, Jaime (Michael) Reider, Nicole Weiland, Tammy Heesakker, and Jodi Heesakker.
Further survivors include brothers; Ivan (Margaret) Stilp, of Orlando, Fla., James (Celine) Stilp, of Larsen, Wis., and Gerald (Kathie) Stilp, of Elm Grove, Wis.; brothers and sisters-in-law; Emmett (Elinor) Hoks, of Appleton, Agnes Heesakker, of Kimberly, Margaret Schwaller, of Appleton, and Francis (Stack) and Shirley Heesakker, of Appleton, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her sister, Georgianne Hoks, and in-laws, George and Annie Heesakker, Sr. Callista Heesakker, Loretta and Eugene Harp, Josephine and Joseph Mueller, Dorothy Mae Heesakker, Mary and Bill Van Offeren, and Robert Schwaller.
The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at Noon on Saturday, January 22, 2005, at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 323 Pine Street, Little Chute, with Msgr. James Vanden Hogen presiding. Inurnment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of services directly at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Bea’s name has been established.
The family extends very special and sincere thanks to: Dr. Jack Anderson and his staff for their genuine concerns and feelings for Bea; the staff and volunteers of ThedaCare At Home Hospice for their wonderful care; and the entire staff at Cherry Meadows Hospice. During the time Bea was with you, she was treated as though she was your very own.
