Beatrice (Bea) Johnson passed away on July 20, 2018 with her daughters holding her hands. Bea is joining the love of her life, husband Leroy (Johnny). They were married March 30, 1946, and lived in Kaukauna. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1996. Beatrice was born February 5, 1927. Her parents were the late Clayton and Emma Thomas.
Memories of Bea will be forever treasured by those she left behind: Daughters Marlene Johnson and Linda (Gary) Brick; Grandsons Shawn (Steven Reed-Pittman) and Jeff (Rachel) Brick; Great-Granddaughters Hailey and Alivia Brick; Brother-in-law John (Linda) Johnson; and Sisters-in-law Janet Powers and Delores Hutchins.
Bea was preceded in death by Parents-in-law John and Bertha Johnson; Brothers-in-law Roger Hatfield, Rex Powers and Jim Hutchins; Sister-in-law Beverly Hatfield; and Nephew Michael and Niece Cheryl.
Bea was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kaukauna. She always cherished the love and support of the Pastors and members who faithfully visited her. Bea was a beautician and owned the Lin-Mar Beauty Salon until she retired.
Bea and Johnny loved to travel, especially to the mountains in the West. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, computer games, and going to Oneida Casino. The most important things in her life were her faith and her family, for which they are forever grateful.
Special thanks to staff and caregivers at Helen’s House in Kaukauna, Dr. Werner at the Kaukauna Clinic and the medical staff at Thedacare Regional Medical Center. Thanks also for the support from Pastor Levi Willms and Walt Steinbach, Pastor and friend.
Visitation will be from 1-3pm Thursday, July 26, with a service at 3pm at Fargo Funeral Home in Kaukauna. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her name.
Some people come into our lives and quietly go. Others stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same. That was our mom, grandma and great-grandma. You will be forever missed.
