Barbara Jo Beck

July 4, 1942 — January 4, 2022

Barb Beck, age 79 of Greenville, passed away gently on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Cherry Meadows Hospice.  Barb was born in Oshkosh on July 4, 1942, daughter of the late Herman and Margaret (Muthig) Koehn.  She met her prince, David Beck, shortly after graduating from Omro High School, and they married on April 28, 1962.  They had a love seen only in fairy tales.  She made loving her husband, children, and grandson look easy by the way she loved unconditionally. Everyone she met was greeted with a hug and knew they were loved.

Barb is survived by her loving husband: David Beck of Greenville; a daughter: Mandy (William) Novotny, and a grandson William Novotny. She also leaves a sister Katherine (Mike) Engstrom and a brother Todd (Elaine) Koehn.  There are also two brothers-in-law: Charles (Sara) Beck and Robert Beck.  Barb was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters: Jonette and Tanya, and in-laws Betty Frank, Rexford Beck and Thomas Beck.

A private service will be held and entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.

Right now, saying good-bye doesn’t seem to be enough; instead, we choose to say thank you. Thank you for being the wife you were for almost sixty blessed years, for being an amazing mom and friend, and for teaching all who met you how to love without limits.  We love you, and are thankful that God blessed us with you.
