Barbara J. Corroy

Barbara J. Corroy (Heegeman), 66 years, passed away June 11, 2017 at Cherry Meadows Hospice Center in Appleton, Wisconsin. She was born May 8, 1951 to her parents Robert J. and Betty J. (Loewenhagen) Heegeman in Appleton, Wisconsin. Barb was a graduate of Appleton East High School, Class of 1969.

Barb was a dedicated Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs from the comfort of her home. She loved watching the birds in her garden and her dogs Wilma and Daisy. She looked forward to garage parties and cookouts with her family and friends. Barb worked at Lawrence University from 2000-2012.

Ned A. and Barbara J. Corroy were married on August 27, 2005. They had met through a chat room and were married after one year of courtship. Together they shared 12 years of marriage.

Barb will be missed by her husband Ned, step-children Josh (Emily) Corroy and Nate (Kelly) Corroy, step-grandchildren Jace; Nolan and Sam, siblings Dick (Amy) Heegeman, Beverly “Sues” Vandenberg, Jim (Becky) Heegeman, Janice (Terry) Staedt, Bob Heegeman, and Ted (Cindy) Heegeman, brothers-in-law Wyman (Jane) Ness, Jeff (Karla) Ness and Kevin (Diane) Corroy. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents Robert and Betty Heegeman, infant daughter Grace, and brother-in-law Patrick Vandenberg.

A Memorial Service for Barb will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 7 pm at Wichmann-Fargo Tri-County Chapel, 1592 Oneida St., Menasha, Wisconsin. Private inurnment. Family and Friends may gather Thursday, June 15 at Wichmann-Fargo Tri-County Chapel from 4 pm until time of Service.

The family of Barb thanks her special friend Debbie Gendron and the staff of Cherry Meadows Hospice Center for their loving care of her. A memorial fund in Barb's name will be established.
