Age 54, passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, May 26, 2001. She was born in Neenah at Theda Clark Regional Medical Facility on May 1, 1947 the daughter of Kenneth and Eleanore (Eskofski) Gambsky. She attended St. Mary Catholic Grade School in Menasha until second grade when an unfortunate automobile accident rendered her disabled all of the rest of her life. Despite her disability she was a very special daughter and sister and was deeply loved by her family and friends.

She is survived by her parents, her brothers and sisters James (Jennifer) Gambsky of Menasha, Kenneth (Christine) Gambsky of Neenah, Charlotte (Terry) Olson of Neenah, Mary (Arleigh) Lueck of Appleton, F. Joseph (Deborah) Gambsky of Menasha, Kelly (Sheri) Gambsky of Greenville, Spencer (Doris) Gambsky of Neenah, and Stacy Gambsky of Menasha and her special friend Steve Hopper; and several loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at 1:30 PM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 212 Appleton Street in Menasha with the Rev. Robert Lussier officiating. Interment will take place at St. Margaret Mary Cemetery in Neenah. Friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha on Tuesday from 10:30 AM until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established and will be used to help defray the cost of Barbara’s lifelong need for long term care by her family.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. R. W. Johnson, and Dr. Paul McAvoy; and the Winnebago County Social Workers and Homecare Nurses who showed special kindness to Barbara.
