Austin will be deeply missed by his family and extended step family. He lost his life in an automobile accident and his time with us was too short. He was a wonderful son and stepson to Jeff and Luann, and it brought him great joy to have a brother and sister, Christian and Hope. Austin loved spending time with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Luehring, Van Beek, and Felker families.
With his Dad and family, he developed great interest in the outdoors, landscaping, and handywork. Austin enjoyed multiple trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area wilderness with Dad, Grandpa Lee, Uncle Brian, Uncle Lee, and cousins Matias and Sebastian. While there he learned to canoe, camp, and fish, and loved the family camaraderie.
From little on, Austin liked plants and landscaping. He and Dad used to walk around the home landscaping, with Dad telling him about each plant. To this day he enjoyed plants and had several beautiful ones in his house. Dad and Luann bought him planting pots for Christmas this year, that we unfortunately will not be able to give to him.
Austin enjoyed working with tools and became an excellent handyman doing renovation work in his house, having worked as a tradesman, and often helped with projects for his family. A highlight this year was a wonderful re-decking job he did for Uncle Dan, with the help of Dad and other family members. Austin inherited tools from Grandpa Lee and put them to good use.
Luann loved Austin like her own son. He loved her special homemade spaghetti and secret recipe lemonade. Austin and his sister Hope enjoyed singing and listening to music together. He enjoyed hearing about and attending his brother Christian’s sporting events. He was also a master of computers and technology from the time he was little. He always helped his family set things up and solve issues.
Austin will be forever missed and forever young. We love you Austin with all our hearts and will be with you again in heaven.
Love always, Dad, Luann, Christian, and Hope
