APPLETON - July 24, 2001 - April 17, 2022 The hearts of all who were blessed to know Audrie shattered beyond measure on Sunday, April 17, 2022, when she unexpectedly left us alongside her best friend Sophie Sullivan. We are forever grateful for the impact Audrie had on our lives and the pure joy she brought us. Audrie had the unique ability to draw people in and make them feel special with her huge smile, warm presence, and of course - her distinct attitude. She moved about the world on her own terms and overcame obstacles many will never face with poise and grace. Audrie had just begun finding her way on her own with strength and determination, while never losing sight of what mattered most - her friends and family. She lived in the moment, ready for anything with her laid back and bubbly personality, including embracing other cultures, getting symbolic tattoos, and trying new foods anytime she had the chance. Audrie held a beautiful connection with her family - including four sisters and one brother - and filled the shoes of big sister for each of them uniquely. Words cannot begin to express the void she leaves that cannot be filled, yet the lives she touched are forever changed for the better. Audrie will be celebrated everyday by the loved ones missing a piece of their hearts here on Earth: her parents Heidy and Sean Stephens; siblings Lydiah, Elyzah, Cambriya, Milly, and Oliver Stephens; grandparents Ken and Jean Vander Heiden and Mary Stephens; great grandmother Shirley Lunde, aunts and uncles Erik (Kaitlyn) Vander Heiden, Cameron (Emily) Vander Heiden, Kyle (Alejandra) Stephens, many cousins, and countless friends who she made feel supported and loved. Her beautiful soul joins her grandfather Jerry Stephens and best friend Sophie Sullivan. A funeral and public memorial service will be held Saturday, May 14, at Appleton Alliance Church (Visitation 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Service 1-2 p.m.) A GoFundMe has been established to help fund memorial service for Audrie and Sophie
