AUDREY R. THIEL
Audrey R. Thiel of Appleton, passed away Monday, April 10, 2005 surrounded by her family. She was born June 8, 1928 in Valders, WI the daughter of the late Chester and Amanda (Roth) Peters. Audrey attended Menasha High School and later obtained her Brokers License. On May 26, 1945 she married
Warren “Chuck” Thiel in the Chapel at Treasure Island in San Francisco.
She enjoyed breeding and showing dogs, cats and birds and fishing, sewing, knitting and reading. She truly enjoyed visiting with people and especially times with her family.
Survivors include her children; Pam (Lee) Harder of Neenah, Greg (Jean) Thiel of Appleton, Charlie (Cindy) Thiel of Kaukauna and Kris (Mike) Moderson of Appleton; two grandchildren; Melissa (special friend Mike Kemka) and Chuck Thiel; four sisters; Janet (David) Zwicker of Appleton, Mary (Doug) Babino of Manawa, Joyce (Ted) Lang of Appleton and Grace (Jerry) Rohde of Clintonville. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Audrey was preceded in death by her son Kurtis Thiel, brother Larry Peters and sisters Shirley Arthur and Marge Schaller.
Memorial service will be held at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME on Saturday April 16, 2004 at 6:30 PM. with Rev. Dennis Ellisen officiating. Friends may call at the Funeral Home Saturday from 5:00 PM until the time of service.
Audrey’s family would like to give a special thank you to Mabel, Terrie,
Jean and the staff of Franciscan Care Center for their generous help in caring for our mother.
The family would also like to extend a sincere thank you to Jean Brecke
and Dr. Whiteside for all the years of kindness and excellent care. As an expression of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.
