REMTER, AUDREY ANN
Audrey Remter, age 73, of Appleton, died on Thursday, August 10, 2006, at Brewster Village after a lengthy struggle with frontal temporal dementia. Audrey was born on April 9, 1933, in Appleton, to the late Lester and Ethel (Johnson) Stillman. She married Vernal Remter on August 18, 1951; he preceded her in death on December 30, 1983. Audrey was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a long-time member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Appleton. Survivors include her children, Linda Remter (special friend Steve Gue), West Bloomfield; Sherry (Joseph) Marx, Appleton; Kim (LaBron) Neal, Rancho Santa Margarita, California; Lori (Barry) Van Dinter, Appleton; Timothy (Angela) Remter, Appleton; and Travis Remter, Appleton; and her thirteen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law, Shirley Misco-Kelder, Appleton, and Doris (Louis) Flauger, Gresham; her brother-in-law, Jerry Lemmens, Arizona; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Remter; her brother, Richard Stillman; her in-laws, Lester and Isabelle Remter; and her brothers-in-law, Lloyd and Lester Remter. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 12, 2006, at 3:00 p.m. at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Appleton, with Rev. Kevin Gregory officiating. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Brewster Village for their loving care. A memorial has been established in Audrey’s name.
