Audrey Miller, age 72, passed away early Friday, July 11, 2008 at a Green Bay nursing home. Audrey was born in Little Chute on August 12, 1935, daughter of the late Martin and Clara (Van Dyke) Nieling. On September 1, 1958, she married Robert G. Miller at St. Therese Catholic Church in Appleton; he preceded her in death in 1980. Audrey was a longtime and faithful member of St. Therese Catholic Church and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. For over twenty years, Audrey was employed as a housekeeper at the Kimberly Clark West complex in Neenah.
She is survived by her daughter: Virginia (Chris G.) Steffes of Green Bay; a daughter-in-law: Kristine Miller of Menasha; her mother-in-law: Rosella Miller of Kimberly; and a brother: Ronald (Mary) Nieling of Kimberly. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law: Ruth Van Gompel of Appleton; Jim Miller of Kimberly; Ronald (Monako) Miller of Okinawa; Richard Miller of Appleton; Bill Miller of Ohio; and Mary (Reg) Behrends of Drummond; two nieces and a nephew: Julie (David) Gloudemans, Jim (Sara) Nieling, and Jennifer (Brian) DeWall. Audrey is further survived by many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and her dog Sandy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son Edward Miller in 2005.
The funeral liturgy for Audrey will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at NATIVITY OF OUR LORD PARISH, 2270 S. Oneida Street in Green Bay, with Fr. John Becker officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again Tuesday at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of the liturgy. There will be a prayer and scripture service at the church on Monday evening at 7:00 PM.
The family would like to offer their special thanks to the many who cared for Audrey. They include the staff at the ACU at Bellin Hospital and to everyone at San Luis Medical and Rehab. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
