Age 90, died on Thursday, June 27, 2002 at the Weyauwega Health Care Center. Arthur was born in Grand Chute on April 24, 1912, son of the late Oscar and Marie (Schultz) Popp. On June 8, 1934, Arthur married Linda Dorin, and they have enjoyed 68 years of marriage together. Arthur loved to work with electronics, and created many inventions, such as clocks and Christmas trees for family and friends. He also loved carving wood crafts and building, especially boats, campers and garages. An avid gardener, Arthur enjoyed caring for his plants. Arthur is survived by his wife Linda; his children, Duane (Marilyn) Popp; Donna (Gerald) Palmbach; Betty Greil; Sandra (Dennis) Moericke; his sisters, LaVerna Destin; Arleen Semrow; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and 3 sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerome; his granddaughter, Lynn Popp; a son-in-law, James Greil; 6 brothers-in-law; and 6 sisters-in-law. The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at BETHANY EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 530 West Parkway Boulevard, with Rev. Mark Henke officiating. Interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park. Friends will be received at the church on Wednesday, July 3 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Weyauwega Health Care Center for their loving care of Arthur. Arthur was a very energetic and independent man who would do anything for his family, and he will be greatly missed by them.
