Age 85, died unexpectedly of a heart attack, Thursday evening, December 27, 2001. He was born on July 20, 1916, in Milwaukee, where he was a resident until moving to Appleton in 1960. While a resident of Milwaukee, Art, had been employed by Filer and Stoell, Harvester Corporation and McKesson Corporation. He retired from McKesson Corporation in Appleton in 1980. Art enjoyed bowling, which he did 3 or 4 times a week, baseball, playing cards, planting flowers, woodworking and golf. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where he was an usher and a former member of the Milwaukee Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife Mary Ann (Marks) Schuenemann, to whom he would have been married for 60 years, on June 20, 2002; two sons and daughters-in-law, Art and Bev Schuenemann, Granger, Indiana; Rick and Jackie Schuenemann, Appleton; three grandchildren, Jason, Angie and Andy; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Marge Schuenemann, Capitola, CA; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Erward Herman “Skip” Schuenemann, his parents, a brother, Carl Schuenemann and a sister Emily Krotts. The funeral liturgy for Art will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 31, 2001, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 312 South State Street, with Father Michael K. O’Rourke officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elm Grove. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-8 pm and on Monday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the mass. A parish prayer and scripture service will be held at 7:30 pm Sunday. A memorial fund is being established.
