Arthur "Art" A. Webb, 84, Appleton Wisconsin sadly passed away on Thursday, March 20th, 2025 at Primrose Retirement Community. He was born on March 6th, 1941 in Sheboygan, the son of Arthur and Marie Webb.

Art graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1960. While in school he met his future wife, JoAnn Sessler, at the local Piggly Wiggly where Art worked bagging groceries. After High School, Art attended UW-Oshkosh majoring in Chemistry. Arthur and Joann were married on August 31st, 1963 at Saint Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan.

Art completed his Chemistry degree in 1964 and his first job after graduation took to them Chicago, Illinois where he worked for Kellog’s. Art and JoAnn moved to Wisconsin in 1966 and purchased their first home on Stead Drive in Menasha. Art worked at the Institute of Paper Chemistry for 24 years before becoming a consultant at Integrated Paper Services from 1990-1998.

He enjoyed working with his hands as well as a love of the outdoors and sports. Art was an avid fisherman and golfer. Both he and JoAnn enjoyed camping and made numerous trips to Disney World over the years. Art followed the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks and the Milwaukee Brewers regularly and attended many of their games. Further, Art had a passion for racing and enjoyed taking rides with JoAnn in their convertible sports car.

Art took pride in his health. He was a regular runner and enjoyed biking. Even at Primrose Retirement Community, he regularly demonstrated his ability to do pushups to the amazement of the staff.

Art enjoyed being involved in the community as a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Menasha where he was an usher and regular churchgoer. He was also a member of the local Knights of Columbus and a Boy Scout leader. He cherished his friendships,and looked forward to he his fishing trips , golf league, and enjoyed playing cards.

Art was a devoted husband and family man. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and he had the pleasure of meeting his first great granddaughter last year. Both Art and JoAnn regularly attended their grandchildren’s activities, and school events. He always had time for his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

Art is survived by his 3 children: John Webb, Susan (Bruce) Weyenberg, and Christine (Shane) Kiley; 3 grandchildren: Alexis (Ryan) McCarthy, Alicia Schultz (fiancé Filip Milojevic) , and Madeline Kiley; 1 great-grand-daughter Joella McCarthy.

Arthur was preceded in death by his wife JoAnn, his parents Arthur and Marie Webb.

A small, private service is planned to honor and celebrate Art’s life. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff members at Primrose Retirement Community for the exceptional care Art received during his time as a resident. Also, we would like to extend our thanks to Art's neighbors from his home in Appleton for their care, and compassion.

Art’s legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
