Arlene Braun

Arlene R. Braun, 88, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018.

Arlene was born on September 7, 1930 to George and Mary (Bosman) Destree. On September 20, 1950 she was united in marriage to Roger Braun. Arlene was a very accomplished seamstress and upholsterer. She worked at Elm Tree Bakery, Zwicker’s Knitting Mill, Barret’ Women’s Clothing, and Pierce Mfg, along with teaching an upholstery class at Fox Valley Tech. Arlene enjoyed sewing, gardening and traveling. She also liked going to the cottage where fishing and boating memories were made.

Arlene is survived by her children; Linda (Sam) Thorstenson- Peabody, Sue (Joe) Barry, Peggy Prokash, and Larry (Valerie) Braun, ten grandchildren; Erin (Michael) Macier, Michelle Thorstenson, Erik (Bianca) Thorstenson, Mark Thorstenson, Chris (Missy) Barry, Jeremy Barry, Michael (Danielle) Prokash, Jeffrey (Emmeline) Prokash, Sonya (Dustin) Braun, and Carl (Andrea) Braun, great grandchildren; Annabel, Luke and Madelyn Macier, Jaden, and Devon Thorstenson, Madison and Caitlin Barry, Hailee and Connor Prokash, siblings; Harvey (Shirley) Destree, Janice (Bud) Mueller, and Sharon (Warren) Larkin, a sister-in-law Joyce Destree, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roger, a brother Arnold Destree, sisters; Bernadine Kaye, Dora Destree, Doris Kaye and Lois Kipp, brothers-in-law; Richard Kaye, Harold Kaye, Wallace Kipp, a son-in-law Mike Prokash and grandson Tim Prokash.

The funeral service for Arlene will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 N. Morrison St. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Wichmann Funeral Home Tri County Chapel, 1592 Oneida St., Menasha, and on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.
