Ariel Bryn Colchado-Arter
30-year-old wife of Mateo Colchado Mendez and mother of 3, passed away unexpectedly Friday January 27, 2023, at ThedaCare Appleton where she was surrounded by her loving family. Ariel died from a bacterial infection; she did not know was there. It caused sepsis and multiple organ failure.
Ariel was born January 29, 1992, to Todd Arter and Suzanne DeGroot. Her sister Jessica Temple and brother Jake Temple were very excited to meet her. Not only was she an awesome sister, but she was also their best friend. Ariel brought joy and love everywhere she went. All who met her are not likely to forget her. From the time she could walk Ariel would offer comfort to whomever needed it. If you were in her presence, you were instantly considered important.
Ariel’s cackle could be heard from far away. She had an amazing sense of humor and if she was laughing you could not help but laugh with her. She loved to eat good food! Seafood was a particular favorite, especially if it came smothered in Alfredo sauce. Ariel always had room for dessert. She had such a passion for dessert that she learned how to bake and decorate theme cakes so she could make the recipient’s birthday extra special.
Of the many dreams that Ariel had; the most important was having a family of her own. While she attended UW Green Bay, where she obtained a degree in accountancy, she met the man of her dreams, Mateo. They married July 25, 2014. It wasn’t long after that their first child, Diana was born. She was followed by Oliver and then Noah. Ariel was happiest when she was with her family.
Ariel most recently worked as a Senior Corporate Accountant for Schneider National. She was the one to organize the office baby showers and adopt-a-family events. No task was ever too much. Especially if it involved making someone feel special.
Ariel is survived by her husband Mateo, and her children; Diana 6, Oliver 4 and Noah 10 months. She is also survived by Grandpa Gary McNinch, Fish Creek, Grams Patricia McNinch, Neenah, Grandma Linda Arter, Appleton, and her parents Todd (Tam) Arter, Kimberly, Suzy (Pat) DeGroot, Shiocton, sister Jessica Temple, Appleton, and brother Jake (Tara) Temple, Kingsford, MI. She is also survived by Aunt Deb (Jeff) Marcus, Uncle Mike Arter, Aunt Kerry (Dennis) Bielke and Uncle Jim (Lisa) Gresens, her goddaughter, Fernanda Valdez, Appleton. Ariel has many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews that we would like to name but are running out of room! She loves them all.
Ariel was preceded in death by Grandma Carol Arter and Grandpa Jack Arter.
