Age 70, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2002 with his loving brothers and sisters at his side at the Hospice at Cherry Meadows following a short illness. He was born on June 13, 1931 in the Town of Woodville, Wisconsin the son of the late John and Henrietta “Hattie” (Peters) Sprangers.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters Adeline (Joseph) Van Densen of Menasha, Leo (Joan) Sprangers of Appleton, Francis J. (Sally) Sprangers of Appleton, John (Amelia) Sprangers of Menasha, Marion Oudenhoven and her special friend Edward Klarner of Kimberly, Rita (George) Trader of Menasha; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Lawrence and Lester, and a brother-in-law Jerome Oudenhoven.

The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, May 31, 2002 at 12:00 PM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 South State in Appleton with the Rev. Robert Lexa officiating. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the mass. A memorial fund is being established for the American Cancer Society.

The family wishes to express their thanks to his friends at Walgreens and at Hardee’s, and the nurses and doctors at St. Elizabeth Hospital, and the nursing staff at Cherry Meadows, Father Bob Lexa and Father David Koch for their wonderful care.
