Anne Knostenberg

May 25, 1936 — August 5, 2019

Anne Knostenberg, age 83, formerly of Darboy, entered Heaven with grace, radiance and beauty on Monday, August 5, 2019, after a four year battle with dementia. She was born May 25, 1936 to the late Harlow and Olive Rowe. She was a student of Neenah High School, and was married to John Knostenberg. Anne held various jobs throughout her career, including work at Zwickers, Automatic Fire Protection, Novus Labs and Avon. However, her most fulfilling job was motherhood.

Anne was a true example of what a mother should be; faithful, devoted and loving. She found joy in making people happy and never missed a chance to acknowledge someone’s accomplishments. She had a wonderful sense of humor and her smile and blue eyes always brightened up the day. Anne enjoyed photography, gardening, crocheting, sunsets and singing. Harmonizing was her specialty. She was extremely gifted in the arts and especially enjoyed charcoal drawing, pottery and sculpture.

Anne is survived by her loving children: Tina (Mark) Foth, Kimm (Jim) VanHerwynen and Jon Knostenberg; and her grandchildren: Olivia, Mason, Mitchell and Madelyn. She is further survived by her brothers: Harlowe (Vicky) Rowe, Don (Anna) Rowe and Gary Rowe; friend and kindred spirit: Janet Parsons; as well as eleven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her infant sister Yvonne, and brother: Ernie Rowe.

The funeral service for Anne will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 23, 2019, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNY CHAPEL, 1592 Oneida St, Menasha, with Deacon Mike Eash of St. Bernard Parish officiating. Visitation will take place from 3:00 pm until the time of service.

Following the service, guests are welcome to remain at the funeral home for a meal and continued fellowship and time with the family.

Anne’s private family inurnment will be at St. Margaret Mary Cemetery in Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established supporting Dementia research.
