Age 71, died on Friday, February 16, 2001 at Parkside Care Center, following an 11 year struggle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Anne was born on January 6, 1930 in Combined Locks, daughter of the late Martin and Jane (Van Nuland) Van Krey. She married Frank Diehn on September 30, 1950, and they have enjoyed 50 years of marriage. Anne was an active member of Holy Name Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, fishing and crocheting. Anne is survived by her husband Frank; two daughters, Deborah (Jay) Kunstman, Menasha; Doree (Dave) Klopfenstein, Hubertus, WI; a son, Steven Diehn, Appleton; five brothers, Harry (Jean) Van Krey, Blacksburg, VA; Peter (Gale) Van Krey, Kimberly; Tony (Joan) Van Krey, Combined Locks; Joe (Judy) Van Krey, Menasha; John (Shirley) Van Krey, El Cajon, CA; a sister-in-law, Marie (LaVonne) LaRue, Two Rivers; a brother-in-law, Al Babbitts, Neenah; three grandchildren, Karen Figlinski; Andy Klopfenstein; Daniel Kunstman; and three great-grandchildren, Shelby, Brandon and Brianna Figlinski. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Anne was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Karen Anne; an infant great-grandson, Nicholas Figlinski; grandparents, Peter and Anna Van Nuland; Henry and Johanna Van Krey; father and mother-in-law, Steve and Verona Diehn; three sisters-in-law, Josephine Babbitts; Mary Van Krey; Veronica Grottke; and a brother-in-law, Julius Diehn. The Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, with Father Dennis Bergsbaken and Father Paul Vanden Hogen Concelebrating. Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to benefit PSP research. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Parkside Care Center, for their loving care of Anne.
