Anne Davis
Appleton
Died of heart failure, on Saturday, July 14, 2001. Anne was born on March 20, 1923, daughter of the late Lynton and A. Carolena (Johnson) Hill. Her career of teaching early elementary children was most rewarding. After retirement, she enjoyed tutoring in the Reading for Success Program, and volunteering at Appleton Medical Center. Anne’s affiliation with PEO and Fortnightly Book Club brought her much comfort, pleasure and stimulation. She was an active member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ. Her greatest joy was her family. She married John Davis on June 29, 1980, and they enjoyed over 21 years of marriage together. Anne will be greatly missed by her husband, John; her children, Christopher (Audrey) Heeren; Timothy (Ruth Lederman) Heeren, and their children, Emily and Aliza; Jonathan (Phyllis Frkuska) Heeren, and their children, Johanna and Jacob; Pamela Joy, and her children, Shannon and Cassie; her sister, Louise Straub; and her step-children, Sara (Christopher Haun) Davis; and Nell (Coy Theobalt) Davis. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Hill and Carl Hill. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, July 20, 2001, at the FIRST CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 724 East South River Street, Appleton, with Rev. John McFadden officiating. Friends will be received at the church, following the service.
