Anna Marie Potter

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 5, 2008, at the age of 99. Anna was born on February 22, 1909 in Oshkosh daughter of the late Phillip and Sophie (Weigandt) Staerkel. She married Harold Potter on May 30, 1942 in Oshkosh. They were married for 52 years before his death in November of 1994. Anna was a hardworking person who enjoyed golfing bowling, cooking and gardending, and was talented at many crafts. She was a key punch operator at AAL, ran the payroll at Western Condensing, and worked at Home Mutual Insurance Co. Anna loved the Lord and was a devoted member of Calvary Bible Church in Neenah. She could always bring a smile and fun to people.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (Richard) Wylie, Neenah; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Dan) Bickel, Phillip (special friend Abby) Wylie, and Andrew Wylie; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Kenneth, and Marie Bickel; numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends. She was preceded in death by six brothers, and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at CALVARY BIBLE CHURCH, 1450 Oakridge Road, Neenah, with Pastor Rick Ribble officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial is being established. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
The family would like to thank the Theda Care Hospice Nurses, the Calvary Bible Parish Nurse, the nurses on 2 Center at Theda Clark Medical Center, and her caregivers at Villa St. Claire in Neenah for all their help and kindness given to Anna.
