Anna M. Weyenberg

October 17, 1911 — September 15, 2008

Anna Weyenberg, age 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2008 at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. Anna was born in Freedom on October 17, 1911, daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Verhoeven) Hoks. On February 4, 1931, she married Royal Buck Weyenberg at St. Nicholas Church in Freedom; he preceded her in death in April of 1996.

Anna is survived by seven children: Alice Coenen of Kimberly; Jane (Ray) Menting of Kimberly; Betty (Ben) Mischler of Combined Locks; Lee (Linda) Weyenberg of Poplarville, Mississippi; Julie Verstegen of Port Angeles, Washington and her special friend Dennis; Kathy (Richard) Peterson of Darboy; and Rose (Merlin) Hietpas of Kimberly; a daughter-in-law: Mary Weyenberg of Darboy. There are forty-eight grandchildren, sixty-seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Anna is also survived by a sister: Eleanor Wheaton of Green Bay; a brother: Richard Hoks of Neenah and his special friend Pat; and a sister-in-law: Edith Weyenberg of Zion, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughters Carol, Ramona (Ralph) Stark, and Diane Rohan; a son: Bob Weyenberg; a granddaughter: Rita Weyenberg; a son-in-law: Marvin Coenen, as well as several brothers and sisters and their spouses, and many brothers and sisters-in-law.

The funeral liturgy for Anna will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 19, 2008 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH KIMBERLY CAMPUS. 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again Friday morning at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service. There will be a parish scripture service Thursday evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone at Pioneer Village for making the last several months so enjoyable for Anna. She felt so much at home with you all your kindness will never be forgotten

Anna loved her husband, her home, and her family. Each and every day she devoted her entire self to their well-being. For many years to come, each of her children and their families will thankfully remember the love and generosity of their beloved mother.
