Anna R. Euclide age 86 of Menasha passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Ascension St Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on November 29, 1935, in Fond Du Lac to John and Mary (Duerlinger) Symes. Ann was the youngest of three children. She grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Wauwautosa High School. Following graduation, she worked at Allis Chalmers in the secretarial pool.
Ann met the future love of her life, Allen Euclide at “MA’s” in Milwaukee-little did they know until that moment that they shared the same circle of friends! Ann fondly recalled the night Al’s car was stolen and enjoyed telling the story of seeing his car drive right by her on a night they were supposed to go out. Al and Ann were married on March 16, 1968, and they had two children. Soon after the arrival of Jeff, the little family moved to Appleton, it was there that their lives became full.
Ann was a fabulous cook and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed being with people and socializing. Her grandkids held a special place in her heart.
She enjoyed long trips to Laughlin, NV, and day trips to Oneida-both of which involved adventures at the casino. Playing cards, entertaining and a love of travel were also part of her world.
Ann always had time for friends whether it be shopping trips (with her as chauffer) or meet ups for ice cream or coffee; she was a kind and caring mother and friend who was always in your corner. She could make a negative into a positive and was great at uplifting those around her-no matter the circumstance.
Ann is survived by her children Lynn (Paul) Heider, and Jeff (Michelle) Euclide. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Matthew (Devon) Heider, John Heider and Skyler Euclide. Wonderful friends Sue Wynboom, Dottie Sandborn and Donna Verhagen will also greatly miss her. She was preceded in death by her beloved Al, her parents, siblings Lawrence Symes and Ruth Livieri and nephew Gary Livieri.
A funeral service for Ann will be held Monday November 14, 2022, at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E Fremont Street, Appleton. Friends and family may gather at the church from 10:00am until the start of mass. Ann will be reunited with Al for internment at Highland Memorial Park at 2:30pm.
