Anita F. Losli died at Peabody Manor in Appleton on Friday, December 30, 2005 at the age of 95. Anita was born in Sturgeon Bay on November 9, 1910, daughter of the late Adolph and Emma Losli. Her mother died when Anita was young, so growing up she spent time between Sturgeon Bay and Manitowoc. Later, she made her home in Appleton and worked for many years as a certified public accountant. Even in her retirement, she continued to assist family and friends with their income tax returns from her apartment at The Heritage. Anita loved plants and gardening, enjoyed caring for the gardens at the Heritage, and enjoyed needlework of all kinds. She was also a member of Trees for Tomorrow. Anita was a longtime and faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton, the Business and Professional Women’s Organization, the Wisconsin C.P.A. Association, as well as taking advantage of many other volunteer opportunities in the area. In her later years, she also enjoyed taking short trips and staying at the homes of her family members. Anita is survived by numerous cousins and by three special cousins and caregivers: Fran (Bob) Aring of Milwaukee; Nancy (Dennis) Kugle of Monona; and Barbara Johnson and her fiancé Don Rex of Sturgeon Bay.
The funeral services for Anita will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 6, 2006 at the funeral home chapel with Revs. Kurt and Mary Beth Kovanen officiating. Interment will be at 1:30 PM Friday in the Schumacher Cemetery, just south of Sturgeon Bay. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the services.
