Schuh, Andrew J. “Andy”
Andy J. Schuh, age 70, of Appleton, died of a massive stroke, Monday, December 5, 2005. He was born September 26, 1935, to the late Clarence J. and Margaret A. (Paltzer) Schuh, in Appleton, where he was a resident all of his life. Andy served with the U. S. Army and had been an Appleton Letter Carrier for 36 years, retiring in 1990. He started playing drums in the sixth grade and played in many local bands, he accompanied the Silver Foxettes and was a member of the VFW Band, of Oshkosh. He also enjoyed raising gladiolas, sweet corn and collecting antique cars.
Survivors include two sisters and a brother, Charlotte (Gerald) Boone; David (Rosemary) Schuh; Barbara (Ronald) Murphy, all of Appleton; six nieces and nephews, Darryl Boone, Renee (Donald) O’Malley, Suzanne (Eddy) Hughes, Sandra (Mark) Hanson, Kevin (Sue) Schuh, Judy (Liam) Collins; eight great nieces and nephews, Katie Boone, Mason Boone, Alyssa Ross, Tyler Sheehy, Brittany Hanson, Brett Hanson, Shelly O’Malley and Marty O’Malley. He is further survived by maternal aunts and uncles, Julia Treiber, Delores Busch, Eugene (Marce) Paltzer and Jerry May; paternal aunts and uncles, Elaine (Roy) Brandt and LaVerne Schuh. He was preceded in death by aunts and uncles, Marie (George) Busch, Helen May, Richard (Florence) Paltzer, George (Lorraine) Paltzer, Robert Busch, George Treiber, Sylvester Schuh, William (Estelle) Schuh, Lawrence (Adeline) Schuh, Regina (Jacob) Van Camp, and Ralph Schuh.
The funeral liturgy for Andy will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 10, 2005, at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 North McDonald Street, with Father Gerald R. Falk officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 pm, Friday and on Saturday at the church from 9:00 am, until the time of the mass. There will be a Parish Prayer and Scripture Service at 7:00 pm, Friday. A memorial fund is being established.
