Amy Busch, was born August 29, 1965 and passed away on October 10, 2021. Amy was the daughter of Tom and Jenny Busch from Appleton. She had resided at Central Wisconsin Center in Madison since March 4, 1971. At an early age Amy suffered a devastating illness requiring complete assistance for all personal health care. She also suffered physical and cognitive limitations. Amy was cared for by her family at Central Wisconsin Center where she received great respect and loving care. She received therapies, recreational activities and social outings. She was well cared for during her 50-year stay.
Amy is survived by her siblings: Tony (Peggy) Busch, Judy (Gary) Gunderson, Jean Krause, and Mary Brush. She has many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Jenny Busch, her brother Tom, and her sister Barb.
Amy’s family would like to extend immense gratitude to the exceptional staff caring for her at Central Wisconsin Center in Madison. She had many social workers over the span of her life there, most recently Sarah Tyler, an angel sent from above. Our family never worried about Amy knowing she was well taken care of and in loving hands. A heartfelt, deep thank you to all that cared for Amy at Central Wisconsin Center.
The funeral liturgy for Amy will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 22 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, located at 1617 W. Pine Street in Appleton, with Fr. Tim Shillcox, O. Praem. officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will take place directly at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
