“Uncle Beany”
Alvin F. LeMoine, age 93, of Appleton, died unexpectedly at his home, Tuesday afternoon, November 9, 2004. He was born July 10, 1911, to the late Bartholomew and Josephine (DuFrane) LeMoine, in Marinette, Wisconsin and had been an Appleton resident most of his life. Al served with the United States Army during WW II and had been employed as a custodian, for the Appleton Area School District, at Huntley Elementary School, retiring in 1976. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine (Presteen) LeMoine; three sisters-in-law, Eva (Lloyd) Ellefson, Lillian Schultz, Juanita (Ernest) Hein; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Earl, Milton, George, Roy and Elsworth LeMoine, and four sisters, Verna Retlick, Gladys LeMoine, Lillian LeMoine and Blanche Schultz.
The funeral liturgy for Alvin will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 15, 2004, at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 222 East Fremont Street, with Father Norm Krutzik officiating. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 am, until the time of the mass.
