On May 11, 2023, our dear Alisha Marie Thiel spread her new angel-butterfly wings and flew home to be with her Lord. She was 22. Alisha was born in Appleton on June 7, 2000, the daughter of Jason and Jamie (Bucholtz) Thiel.
Alisha had the most beautiful and alluring personality. As a thoughtful older sister, cousin, niece, friend, granddaughter, and daughter, Alisha was capable of creating memories that will last forever in our hearts. Alisha enjoyed the natural beauty of nature and respected all of God’s creation. She loved to bask in Arizona's sun and warmth with a smile on her face. She had a passion for hiking the mountains of Arizona and taking on new adventures with her loving Dalmatian, Perseus. She made everyone so proud of her and how independent she was. Spread your beautiful butterfly wings and fly high - our sweet baby girl.
Alisha is survived by her parents, Jason and Jamie; four siblings: Laela Ebel, Elias Ebel, Ivy Ebel, and Vincent Thiel; paternal grandparents: Jean Stueber and Tom (Wendy Van Roy) Thiel; maternal grandparents: Ron (Kathy) Bucholtz and Rod (Cathy) Keen and Gloria Neuman; aunts and uncles: Jeff (Stacie) Bucholtz, Greg (Jenny Heal) Bucholtz, Eric (Amy) Bucholtz, Bill (Christy) Stueber, Bob (Debbie) Stueber, Jody (John Woehrer) Thiel, and Robby (Emily) Thiel; and a special aunt and uncle: Renee and Kenny Meyer.
She was preceded in death by grandfather Bill Stueber and by her little brother Caleb.
The Christian Funeral Service for Alisha will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 407 Oak Street in Neenah. Rev. Tony McKenzie will officiate, and Alisha will be placed at rest at St. Mary Cemetery, near her little brother Caleb. Visitation will take place at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
The family would like to thank the amazing people who have seemingly come from nowhere to offer an incredible amount of love and support. They include everyone at Alisha’s employer in Phoenix, EchoPark Automotive, Jamie’s employer Pinnacle Senior Living, Jason’s employer Hughes Chocolates, and Pastor Tony McKenzie. We will be forever grateful.
The memorial service will be streamed live for those who cannot attend. You may follow the following link on Saturday morning to join us remotely.
