Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, age 94, died at her home on Thursday, August 28, 2003. Alice was born in Kaukauna, Wisconsin on July 25, 1909, daughter of the late Emil and Emma (Krebser) Wurdinger. She married Earl Moritz on August 2, 1929. They enjoyed nearly 70 years of marriage, until he preceded her in death on June 2, 1999. Alice was a member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodge for 62 years. She loved gardening, fishing, traveling and spending time with her family. Alice will be greatly missed by her son, Marvin (Carol) Moritz, Bothell, Washington; her daughter, Leah (Bill) Totzke, Appleton; her sister, Adele (Melvin) Hildebrandt; 11 grandchildren, David and Debra Moritz; Douglas (Sandra) Moritz, their children, Sean and Lendell; Dean (Donna) Moritz, their children, Daniel and Jessica; Dawn (Douglas) Keller, their children, Danielle, John and Jason; Denise (Kent) Smutny, their children, Kirsten and Eric; Dominick Moritz; Julea (David) Wille, their children, Christine, Andrew and Michael; Jon (Anne Marie) Totzke; James Totzke, his children, Kayla, Britni and Nathan; Jenean (Edward) Hodge, their children, Alexander, Nicholas and Lauren; 2 brothers-in-law, Woodrow Wehrman; Mose (Rose) Moritz; and 2 sisters-in-law, Corky; and Carol Wurdinger. She is further survived by her special cousin, Edna Berndt, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Alice was preceded in death by her 5 brothers, Everett (Nellie); Robert (Rita); George, John (Jackie) and Ralph Wurdinger; 2 sisters, Gertrude (Walter) Gast; Arlene (Harold) Voeks; her infant granddaughter; and sister-in-law, Harriet Wehrman. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at FIRST CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 724 East South River Street, Appleton, with Rev. John T. McFadden officiating. Visitors will be received at the church on Tuesday, September 2 from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. The interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
